Annabel brings a depth of legal industry experience to her role as a Specialist Legal Support Recruitment Consultant at MJD Recruitment, having naturally progressed into the role based on her expertise, credibility and strong understanding of the legal market.

She began her career in the UK as a paralegal before training and qualifying as a Solicitor, working across both national and boutique firms in Manchester and London. Throughout her legal career, Annabel worked across a broad range of practice areas including Business Crime and Regulatory Law, Clinical Negligence, Family Law and Private Clients, before specialising in Private Wealth and Tax.

With eight years’ experience within the legal profession, Annabel has a deep and practical understanding of how law firms operate both commercially and culturally. She is well-versed in billing structures, case management systems, role responsibilities and firm hierarchies, as well as the expectations and workplace dynamics that shape successful legal teams. This insight allows her to provide informed, commercially grounded advice to clients while delivering highly targeted recruitment solutions.

In her consultant role, Annabel manages both client and candidate relationships end to end. She partners closely with law firms to understand their hiring needs, team structures and long-term goals, while also supporting candidates with genuine care and insight. Known for her empathetic and considered approach, Annabel takes the time to understand not only a candidate’s experience, but also their career aspirations, work-life balance priorities and the type of firm culture where they will thrive.
