Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in supporting senior lawyers while ensuring the smooth running of matters from commencement through to resolution. This role would suit a proactive Legal Assistant who thrives on responsibility, enjoys working closely with lawyers and clients, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Who will they be supporting? You will provide dedicated support to a Partner and a team of lawyers within a litigation practice, assisting on a broad range of complex matters.
Your day to day responsibilities will be:
- Drafting, formatting and proofreading correspondence, court documents and briefs
- Preparing and collating briefs to Counsel
- Managing diaries, meetings and travel arrangements
- Matter management including file opening, document management and e-filing
- Billing, time entry and reporting
- Liaising with clients, barristers and internal stakeholders
- Preparing presentations and assisting with business development activities
- Compiling large documents and maintaining document management systems
- 5+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant within a litigation practice
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with legal practice management or document management systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Professional approach when liaising with clients and stakeholders
