This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Legal Assistant who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to support leading lawyers within a well-established Family & Relationship Law team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the practice while contributing to the delivery of exceptional client service.
Who will they be supporting? You will support a team of highly respected Family Lawyers who specialise in a broad range of matters including property and financial settlements, parenting disputes, financial agreements, de facto relationships and complex family law matters.
Your day to day responsibilities will be
- Diary and inbox management for multiple fee earners
- Liaising with clients, courts, barristers and external parties
- Preparing, formatting and proof-reading legal documents and correspondence
- Drafting basic correspondence and assisting with court documentation
- Preparing briefs to Counsel and compiling annexures
- Filing and serving court documents
- Conducting property and ASIC searches
- Managing electronic files and document systems
- Transcribing dictation and assisting with administrative support tasks
- General practice support including time recording, archiving and file management
- 4+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant within Family Law
- Strong knowledge of legal administrative processes within a law firm environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Advanced skills across the Microsoft Office Suite
- A proactive, team-focused approach and a genuine passion for providing exceptional support
