Some businesses talk about culture. This one actually lives it.
MJD Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a long-standing national manufacturing business with a reputation built on quality products, loyal customers and genuinely good people. This is the kind of organisation where people know each other by name, roll their sleeves up, support one another and take real pride in doing things properly.
Based at their Yatala site, this role will suit someone who loves variety, enjoys being close to the action and gets a quiet thrill from keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes. You will work closely with the Plant Manager, supervisors and broader operations team, providing the administration, coordination and communication support that keeps a busy manufacturing site running smoothly.
This is not a sit-in-the-corner admin role. You will be across production, purchasing, raw materials, reporting, stock, invoices, site support and all the little moving parts that make a big difference. You will need to be proactive, switched on, organised and comfortable jumping between priorities without needing your hand held every five minutes.
- Supporting the Plant Manager and supervisors with day-to-day operational administration;
- Recording daily production entries and maintaining accurate production data;
- Managing raw materials tracking, delivery dockets, stocktake entries and related spreadsheets;
- Creating purchase orders, receipting goods and processing invoices for approval;
- Supporting weekly reporting, profit estimate preparation and routine site reports;
- Maintaining stock levels of PPE, consumables and site supplies;
- Assisting with pre-stocktake, stocktake reporting and general site coordination;
- Keeping files, records and office processes organised and up to date;
- Providing broader support across the production and yard teams when required.
What makes this opportunity especially attractive is the environment. The team is practical, down-to-earth and collaborative, with a strong focus on safety, quality and respect. You will be trusted to take ownership, encouraged to contribute ideas and backed by managers who value people who care about doing a good job.
The business also offers a strong employee benefits package, including competitive salary options, performance incentives in some roles, product discounts, health and wellbeing support, salary continuance insurance, career development opportunities, recognition programs, social events, BBQs, onsite parking and more. Not bad, right? A decent culture and decent perks — rare little combo.
What makes you a good fit to this role:
- Previous experience in an administration, operations coordination, site coordination, manufacturing, logistics or similar support role;
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks;
- Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with people across all levels;
- Displaying good longevity in your roles is a must for this client, the value loyalty and people who can show commitment to their roles;
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel;
- Experience using JDE or a similar ERP/accounting system would be highly regarded;
- A practical, can-do attitude and the ability to work well under pressure;
- A team-focused, professional and approachable style.
- Most importantly, you will be the kind of person who takes pride in being dependable. You notice the details, follow things through and understand that in a busy operational environment, good administration is not “just admin” — it is what keeps the whole site moving.
- If you are looking for a stable, hands-on and genuinely varied role with a respected national business, this is a brilliant opportunity to step into a team that will value what you bring.
