The Role:
In this role, you will be supporting senior Partners and their team within a fast-paced Litigation practice. The team is known for being collaborative, supportive, and high-performing.
You will be proficient in the following responsibilities:
- Drafting, formatting and amending legal documents and correspondence including court documents, briefs, affidavits
- Managing inboxes and correspondence, prioritising key communications
- File and matter management including opening, conflict checks, maintaining, closing and archiving files
- Billing and timesheet management, including end-of-month billing, WIP reporting, and expenses
- Diary and travel management, coordinating meetings, court dates, and travel arrangements
- Liaising with clients, barristers, courts and internal stakeholders
- Preparing court bundles, briefs to counsel and assisting with litigation processes
- General administrative and team support
Do you have the following skillset?
- 2+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant (Litigation experience highly regarded but not essential as training is provided)
- Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with billing systems and legal software (iManage, Elite 3E, Aderant or similar advantageous)
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Word formatting
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach
