Keen to grow your career in the world of Commercial Litigation? Look no further than this incredible position with a leading National Law firm who are working with MJD Recruitment in their search for their newest Legal Assistant.

This is a rare opportunity to support a Partner and established group of lawyers within a major disputes practice. The team advises on complex, high-value commercial litigation matters and strategic disputes, offering exposure to sophisticated work and premium clients.

You will be stepping into a senior Legal Assistant role where confidence, initiative and accuracy are essential.

A Day In The Life
This is a fast-moving litigation environment where organisation and strong billing capability are critical. While each day may look a little different, you key responsibilities will include:
  • Diary and inbox management
  • Monthly billing, expense management and financial reporting
  • Preparing correspondence and court documentation
  • Filing and service of court documents
  • Conducting Infotrack searches
  • Matter management including opening, closing and archiving files
  • Managing travel and assisting with event coordination
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
What You'll Bring
Prior experience within Commercial Litigation or a similar disputes-based practice in a mid to large firm environment is essential to be successful in the position.
You will also demonstrate:
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong billing knowledge and familiarity with finance systems
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Experience with Aderant or similar systems
  • Experience using NetDocuments or comparable DMS
  • The ability to work independently while remaining team-oriented
