MJD Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a high-growth Brisbane business to recruit an exceptional Executive Assistant to support a Managing Director. This isn't your traditional EA role! It's a position that is perfectly suited to someone who thrives in high-performance environments and takes ownership without hesitation. Supporting a fast-moving executive leading a team of 70+ locally, you’ll be responsible for bringing structure, organisation and precision across a busy and demanding schedule. The pace is fast, expectations are high and detail matters. This is a role where strong execution is valued above all else.
The Role
In this role you will operate as a true right hand, managing priorities and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. Your responsibilities will centre around:
- Inbox and communication management as a core priority, proactively managing a high-volume inbox, triaging, drafting and ensuring all actions are captured and followed through
- Complex diary management across internal and external stakeholders, ensuring meetings are prepared, prioritised and run efficiently
- Board and documentation support, including preparation of board packs, structured minute-taking and tracking of all actions
- Coordination of meetings, travel and executive logistics
- Supporting high-profile corporate and social events, including stakeholder coordination and on-the-day execution
- Providing broader business support across a Brisbane team of 70+, including ad hoc projects and operational coordination
About You
You will be an experienced Executive Assistant who has supported a Founder, Managing Director or senior executive within a results-driven environment. Strong organisation, an eye for detail and confidence managing competing priorities without constant direction are a must here.
Inbox management is a strength, not a task, and you operate with a high level of accountability and ownership. You are calm under pressure, structured in your approach and comfortable working at pace. You take pride in delivering work to a high standard and understand the importance of discretion and professionalism when operating at this level. Experience supporting board processes and strong minute-taking capability are essential.
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to step into a true right-hand EA role, working closely with a highly engaged and entrepreneurial leader. You will gain exposure to both operational and stakeholder environments, including high-level events and business activity. For the right person, this role offers challenge, responsibility and the chance to operate at a high level within a growing business.
