The Opportunity MJD Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a prestigious national law firm to recruit an experienced Legal Assistant to support two highly regarded Partners and their busy Intellectual Property team.
Offering a salary package of up to $105,000, this is an outstanding opportunity for a polished Legal Assistant looking to join a high-performing and collaborative environment. Working across complex Intellectual Property and litigation matters, you will play a key role in supporting a successful practice while benefiting from excellent mentoring, career development, and long-term progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, amending, and formatting legal and court documents
- Managing court filings, e-filing, and matter administration
- Coordinating complex diaries, meetings, travel arrangements, and court dates
- Managing billing, expenses, timesheets, and monthly invoicing processes
- Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, and internal stakeholders
- Opening new matters, conducting conflict checks, and maintaining files
- Managing busy inboxes and providing proactive day-to-day support to the team
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary within a law firm
- Previous Intellectual Property experience will be highly regarded
- Strong billing and matter management experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
- Experience using systems such as iManage, Aderant, Elite 3E, LEAP, or Chrome River will be advantageous
- Salary package of up to $105,000
