MJD Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a global organisation to recruit an Events Coordinator to join their high-performing APAC team.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a globally connected events structure, supporting the delivery of premium, high-impact conferences, sponsorships and client experiences across Australia.

Reporting into the Head of Global Events (internationally), this role will see you play a critical part in ensuring the seamless execution of sophisticated, brand-aligned events within a fast-paced financial services environment.

The Opportunity as the Events Coordinator: you will take ownership of the administration of the Australian events function, supporting the delivery of conferences, sponsorship activations and delegate experiences.

This role requires strong project management capability and meticulous attention to detail.

You will be managing end-to-end event logistics including:
  • Venue sourcing and contract coordination
  • Registration management
  • Merchandise selection and exhibitor services
  • Booth coordination and on-site execution
  • AV, catering and supplier liaison
  • KPI tracking and post-event reporting
You will work closely with marketing and distribution teams to ensure events align with broader go-to-market strategies across the business.

About You:

You are an organised, solutions-focused Events professional with 2–3 years’ experience managing corporate events, ideally within financial or professional services.

You thrive in a deadline-driven environment and are comfortable juggling multiple projects simultaneously. You are proactive, commercially aware and understand the importance of brand integrity and stakeholder experience.
You will bring:
  • Demonstrated experience in event coordination and sponsorship execution
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Experience using Cvent (highly regarded)
  • Exposure to booth design, exhibitor services and lead management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships at all levels
  • Flexibility to travel domestically (approx. 10–20%) and work extended hours during live events
