The role:

Supporting 2 Partners and team, this role requires an organised and proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will be joining a highly regarded national commercial law firm known for its expertise, innovative approach, and supportive culture. The team handles complex and high-profile matters, providing excellent exposure and learning opportunities for ambitious legal support professionals.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Document Preparation: Drafting and formatting legal documents, including court submissions, briefs for counsel, affidavits, subpoenas, and more.
  • File & Matter Management: Conflict checks, file openings, record keeping, and archiving.
  • Billing & Timesheets: End-of-month billing, client reporting, expense processing, and time entries.
  • Diary & Travel Coordination: Managing complex schedules, tracking court dates, and arranging domestic/international travel.
  • Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Building strong relationships with clients, lawyers, barristers, and other stakeholders.
  • Inbox & Correspondence Management: Prioritising communications and ensuring smooth workflow.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a Legal Assistant, ideally in within a law firm environment
  • Strong organisation, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with e-filing, billing & expense systems (iManage, Elite 3E, Aderant, LEAP & Chrome River a plus).
  • Ability to manage deadlines independently and work well in a team.
